For the pursuit of performance and focus on the safety of the users, the storage box temperature is measured internally by a thermal sensor circuitry and has a blue backlight lcd to display the environment operating temperature of the hard disk as well as control the speed of the large 8cm fan. The storage box operating temperature is affected by the hard disk operation and hence it controls the speed of the 8cm fan between 1600-2500 rpm. This effectively is an automatic thermostat similar to an air conditioning unit; this allows long term operation of the hard disk within its operating temperature range which prolongs the life of the hard disk. Due to different HDD characteristics, the internal thermal sensor was specifically designed to compensate such HDD parameters, with added smart alert function. When the hard disk operating environment temperature is over the temperature limit, it will send an alert to the user, if you are a user who downloads for a long period of time and the hard disk suffers from such prolong usage then this storage box is an essential peripheral gadget.
